Caloundra visits Mundubbera for 150 Year Celebration

The Caloundra Blue Light Disco team took to the road again and headed out to Mundubbera to assist with a special disco for the town’s 150 year celebrations on the 24th March.

They were accompanied by Allison Cavanagh from Nambour Blue Light and Elisha Randall from Gympie Blue Light who volunteered to DJ the event.

The trip took a little longer than expected as everyone had to vote in the State election prior to leaving the Coast.  This left a relatively short bump-in of only an hour, however due to the teamwork of a well experienced crew this was not a problem.

The Junior and Senior discos were well attended with around 80 kids at each.  Every one had a fabulous time, even those that missed out on the great prizes that were provided by State Office and the Caloundra Team.  Some patrons even came by bus from neighbouring Gayndah so they didn’t miss out.

The bonus by-product of Caloundra assisting with the disco is that a few more of the local parents are now keen to get involved and help the local Police make the discos a regular event in town.

Many thanks to the local police of Mundubbera, the Shire Council, the School and the people and kids of Mundubbera for making our trip another great memory for the Caloundra Blue Light crew.
