Warraber Island Disco . . .

During the Central Islands Patrol conducted in late February 2012, Warraber Island was our first stop for a Blue Light Disco.  On the 28th February Police Vessel Conroy anchored up off Warraber Island, and we travelled ashore via tender with all of our Blue Light gear.

We had plenty of help blowing up balloons prior to the event, and even had time for an impromptu game of soccer.  (By the way, I’m pretty sure the GIRLS won the soccer!).

That afternoon it was hot, hot, hot in the hall, but that didnt dampen anyone’s enthusiasm or dance moves one bit - we limboed, danced and played musical chairs till we were ready to drop!  Sergeant Jane Tanswell was super busy that night too - not only did she organise everything from games and prizes to the venue, she then played DJ for the night!

More news on our Warraber event coming soon . . .

The Warraber Community Council Sport & Rec community hall was our venue .
