The Caloundra Blue Light team jumped in a bus on the 18th November this year and took their very successful Disco out to Gayndah and Mundubbera.

A junior and a senior disco was held in each town on successive nights with about 50 kids showing up for each one.  This doesn’t seem like a lot but it was nearly all of the kids in the district that came along for the fun.

Local DJ “Cammy” provided the tunes, video clips and lighting spectacular which was enhanced by bubbles and smoke for extra effect.  It was an ideal opportunity to make full use of the Mundubbera MERV trailer and the recently completed school hall.

The prizes were provided by the Caloundra team, who also helped with the cost of the food and drinks and running the canteen on both nights.

It was such a success that the Caloundra Blue Light Team are already talking about their next tour.  Many thanks to Senior Constable Cam MOSLEY of Mundubbera Police and Senior Constable Lucas HAMPSON of Gayndah for their hospitality and assistance during our trip out west.
