Blue Light has been a major sponsor of PCYC’s Variety Bash entry since 2007.  The Variety Bash has raised many millions of dollars for the sick and disadvantaged youth of Qld.

Blue Light State Office does a Western Adventure Tour to the remote areas of outback Queensland, visiting towns such as Augathella, Quilpie, Mitchell, Windorah, taking a giant jumping castle & full disco kit.

The QBLAI has been bringing a variety of safe, drug & alcohol free activities to the youth of Qld for over 30 years.  Known primarily for it’s “Blue Light Discos” which still form the major part of our activities, Blue Light has expanded to include a large variety of events, some of which are talked about below.

QBLAI takes children from throughout the state on a variety of Youth Development Camps.  Activities vary depending on where we host them.  In Canberra, children visited all the major attractions, including Parliament House, the War Memorial, Australian Institute of Sport, the CSIRO, National Museum & Questacon.  When we took a group to Carnarvon Gorge activities included hiking to the various attractions, talks & films presented by the Park Rangers, spotlighting, swimming, and talks on local aboriginal history.

A trip to the Riverside Retreat in Bundaberg saw us canoeing, fire & damper making, panning for gold, raft building and negotiating an obstacle course.

Other trips have included a trip to Dubbo Zoo, a day at Lady Musgrave Island and trips to Dreamworld on the Gold Coast.

Blue Light treats groups of children who are vicitims of abuse to a visit to Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast.  This day includes a stop at McDonalds Bracken Ridge for breakfast and a special viewing at Australia Zoo as well as all the usual attractions.
